This play begins where Richard II ends. Two plots intersect in Henry IV, Part 1. The first concerns King Henry IV, played by Bruce VanGuilder, and his son, Prince Hal, portrayed by newcomer Nikolas Korobovsky, and their strained relationship. The second involves a rebellion that is being plotted against King Henry by a discontented family of noblemen in the North of England, the Percys, who are angry because of King Henry’s refusal to acknowledge and reward them for their assistance in winning him the throne. The two plots come together during the dramatic battle at the end of the play. Andy Daly directs.
