A Broadway hit first produced under the title Gaslight and filmed twice, Angel Street tells the story of the Manninghams who live on Angel Street in 19th Century London. While her husband is out, Bella Manningham, played by Sarabeth Oddy, has an unexpected caller, amiable, paternal Inspector Rough, portrayed by company veteran Dave Lundgren, from Scotland Yard. Gradually the inspector gains Mrs. Manningham’s trust and as evidence against Mr. Manningham, played by Andy Daly, unfolds suspense builds to an unexpected climax. Judi Gross and Polly Gurnett as the two maids, round out the cast. Andy Daly directs.
