The Hudson River Shakespeare Company presents Our Christmas Show.

On December 15 at 7 pm The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will present its annual Christmas show at the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson Falls. Come and enjoy an evening of Christmas songs, poems, and skits performed by members of the company. Admission is $5 and the doors open at 6:30 pm. Andy Daly directs with Bruce VanGuilder as musical director and accompanist. Judi Gross will entertain the audience before the show and during intermission with carols played on the Celtic harp.

HRSC Presents Annual Halloween Reading

Murder, Mayhem, and the Macabre: A Halloween Reading of spooktacular prose and poetry on Saturday, October 27th, at the Hudson Falls Free Library, 220 Main Street, Hudson Falls. Members of the theatre company will read poems and stories by Edgar Allen Poe, Goethe, and, of course, Shakespeare. The door opens at 7:00 pm and the reading begins at 7:30 pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be available. Come and join us for an evening of creeps, chills, and a few laughs,

HRSC Presenting Frankenstein by Tim Kelly

In September The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will present Frankenstein by Tim Kelly, based on the novel by Mary Shelley. “This adaptation is very true to the novel and one of the best interpretations I’ve seen or read,” said director Andy Daly. The cast includes Jim Plante as Victor Frankenstein and Matt Smith as his creation. Company veterans Bruce VanGuilder and Judi Gross play Henry Clerval, Victor’s friend and mentor, and Frau Frankenstein, Victor’s mother.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Open Our 13th Season

The Hudson River Shakespeare Company opens its thirteenth summer season with the comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This spectacular production of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic fantasy is overflowing with songs, fairy magic and zany comedy. The wedding of the Duke of Athens to the Queen of the Amazons is crisscrossed with the antics of two pairs of young lovers, the rivalry of the King and Queen of the Fairies, and the theatrical aspirations of a bumbling troupe of Athenian laborers.

HRSC presents Pulitzer Prize winning play, Doubt

In April The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will present the Pulitzer Prize winning play, Doubt, A Parable by John Patrick Shanley. Kathleen Daly will make her debut as director. “This play is a timely, thought-provoking drama,” said Ms. Daly. The play features Andy Daly as the priest suspected of improper behavior toward a young boy.
Judi Gross, Janelle Hammond and Melrose Frazer will round out the cast.
Performances will take place at The Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward, NY.

HRSC Presents the History, Henry IV, Part I

The Hudson River Shakespeare Company presents the history, Henry IV, Part I. Performances are Friday & Saturday, January 21 and 22, at 8:00 pm, and matinees on Saturday & Sunday, January 22 and 23 at 2 pm at the Hudson Falls High School, East LaBarge Street, Hudson Falls. HRSC Present Angel Street

On April 15 – 17 The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will present Angel Street at the Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward. Curtain time is 8 pm Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16, and 2 pm April 16 and 17. Tickets are $10 and $8 for seniors 60 and over and students 18 and under.

HRSC Presents Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors

On July 22 - 24 The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will present Shakespeare’s self proclaimed comedy, The Comedy of Errors, at the Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward. Yes, folks, this is a comedy!
