Janelle Lightfoote Hammond has been part of HRSC since nearly the beginning, making her debut in A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1999. Over the years she has performed, directed Love's Labour's Lost, and taken on musical direction — pretty much whatever the company has needed.
A singer at heart, Janelle has brought her voice to stages across the region, including Glens Falls Community Theater's City of Angels and Beauty and the Beast with Schuylerville Community Theater. She also spent time as a member of the UAlbany Chamber Singers under the late Dr. David Griggs-Janower.
When she's not on stage, Janelle describes herself as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, redhead, science nerd, kitsch lover, and overthinker. The theater is lucky to have all of that.
